In addition to years of solo acoustic performances, Dave has been a side-man to countless performers as well as a member of bands performing many styles including Alt-Country, Country, Bluegrass, Rock, Funk, Blues, Swing, Rock, and Folk Music.

 Upon returning to the states after a total of almost eight years abroad, Dave settled in York, Pennsylvania where he spent the next two decades performing in the musically fertile Tri-City area of Lancaster, York, and Harrisburg, as well as gigging in the Washington, Philadelphia and New York regions.


During his time in Central Pennsylvania Dave performed solo as well as with bands including legendary Roots Rock Jam Band HEXBELT, STRAIGHT NO CHASER -featuring the Little Big Horns, THE MOONBILLIES, ADAM'S HOUSECAT, as well as gigs with Don Carn, Ed Van Wicklen, Rhyne McCormick, Kris Kostoff, David 'Mo' Moyar,and Nashville based Singer-Songwriter David Olney, among others.


Dave's career has included work as a staff engineer at a Jingle production company, touring as a sideman, playing in bands covering a wide range of styles and teaching music to learners of all ages.


Dave presently resides in Central New Jersey and is releasing a self-produced followup album to his 1999 solo release DEAD IN DOG YEARS. After a few year respite from a life of constant gigging, Dave is presently booking solo gigs and booking recording projects as an engineer/producer.

 

In addition, Dave is accepting students of all ages and abilities on guitar, bass, and mandolin

Biography


  After a four year stint in the Army that sent Dave to Germany, he returned to Europe to pursue a career in music.  In 1980 Dave joined forces with German Rock legend Sonny Hennig ( of "Ihre Kinder" fame) in the popular Folk-Pop band CAHOOTS.

 

  During his years in Germany he toured throughout Europe, played on many recordings and began learning the ropes of studio production, garnering his first record production credits as assistant Engineer at Meistersinger Music Productions In Nuremberg.

 

​  In addition to his successful tenure with CAHOOTS, Dave performed and toured with English Blues musician John Winch, English Folk Singer Barry Denyer, as well as countless other German and American artists.
